The quality Italian wines were on stage today in Seoul during the Gambero Rosso Top Italian Wines Roadshow. At the Hotel Grand Hyatt in fact for the whole day it has been possible to taste the best of Italian wine production. As for Volpe Pasini particularly appreciated were the Focus Merlot Zuc di Volpe and the award-winning Sauvignon Zuc di Volpe.
The week ends happily! We have just been informed that the Sauvignon 2012 has been awarded with the 5 Grappoli (=5 Clusters) in the new Bibenda 2014 Guide published by the Italian Sommelier Association. We are very pleased for the appreciation for this wine. After reviewing 1.700 companies and 20.000 wines, the Bibenda 2014 guide is being printed in these days and will soon be available in a brand new look.
The success of the Sauvignon Zuc di Volpe 2012 continues and the wine has just received the award of “Grande Vino (=Great Wine)” on the Slow Wine Guide 2014. Slow Wine, as part of the non-profit organization Slow Food, has assumed its own identity that is based on the concepts of “good, clean and fair.” A definition of the modern quality which no longer takes into consideration only the organoleptic pleasantness, but evaluates the Italian oenology through a different magnifying glass which focuses on key values such as the environmental sustainability and the virtuous relationship of the winemaker with his territory.
