The upcoming October 11th, 2014 will be presented the new “Guida essenziale ai vini d’Italia” (=Essential Guide to the Wines of Italy), edited by the renowned Italian wine journalist Daniele Cernilli and published by Mondadori. The guide will review the main wines of 870 Italian wineries. The wineries will be evaluated in stars, from one to three, while the wines in cents and only the wines that have scored more 95 or more points will obtain the “face logo” of Doctor Wine. 10 years ago the Ipso Pinot Grigio Zuc di Volpe 2001 was the first wine that linked his name to the “Wine for Life” initiative: in fact during a presentation we were holding in Rome the friend Rinaldo Piazzoni brought us the famous stickers that distinguish the “Wine for Life” wines still warm from the press. An agreement to acquire the historical winery founded by Mario Schiopetto in 1965, has been signed by the Rotolo Family and the Schiopetto Family . Both estates, amongst the most important in Friuli’s winemaking history, will continue to be managed in a strictly independent manner, each maintaining its own brand and mission with total respect for the two distinct types of land of origin, Colli Orientali and Collio . After many awards received for the quality of our wines we have now received also a nice recognition for the attention that our company devotes to the planet. The Guida Vinibuoni d’Italia, edited by Touring Editore, in collaboration with Verallia has decided to award to Volpe Pasini the “EcoFriendly 2014″ prize for its dedication to the protection of the environment. This result was achieved by maintaining of several woods, the practices of environmental sustainability and, last but not least, the use of lightweight bottles whose production process ensures the reduction of CO2 emissions.
