The Sauvignon Zuc di Volpe 2014 reconfirms itself as one of the excellences of the Friuli wine scene according to the Association of Italian Sommeliers that assigns once again to this wine the 4 vines of excellence on the Vitae 2016 Guide. A special thank you to the men and women of the Italian Sommelier Association of Friuli Venezia Giulia that with passion and competence speak about our territory and its many nuances.
This year the Slow Wine 2016 guide has decided to award the Pinot Bianco Zuc di Volpe 2014 as “Grande Vino (=Great Wine)”. Slow Wine has also decided to assign once again to Volpe Pasini the “Bottiglia (=Bottle)” award which is the recognition given to those companies that have expressed an excellent average quality on all the bottles produced. Both these recognitions confirm to us that the direction taken to always pursue the qualitative excellence is definitely the right path to follow.
The Sauvignon Zuc di Volpe 2014 confirms itself for the sixth time in a row, eighth time in total, a 3 Glasses wine for the prestigious Gambero Rosso guide book. An award that makes us even more proud being one of the very few italian wineries to reach this much coveted result on a famous and recognized all over the world varietal like the Sauvignon Blanc.
The Sauvignon Zuc di Volpe 2014 gets a fantastic score of 95 points on the Guida Essenziale dei Vini d’Italia (=Essential Guide to the Wines of Italy) by Daniele Cernilli and edited by Mondadori. Result of a cold and difficult vintage, the Sauvignon proof itself to be a grape variety that adapted incredibly well to the characteristics of Friuli Venezia Giulia and its northern climate. Finally, for the first time, the winery reaches the coveted milestone of the 3 stars, symbol of the excellence of the best Italian wineries who have written and continue to trace the history of Italian oenology.
